Bandar Lampung – University of Bandar Lampung (UBL) successfully held an international conference “The 5th International Conference on Economics, Business, Finance and Governance 2023 (The 5th ICEBFG) with the theme Tourism and Creative Business Sustainability in Revolution Industry Era. Apart from the international conference, activities followed by a field trip that lasted for 10 days, from 16 to 26 February 2023 in Turkey which was attended by all students of the Doctoral (S3) Management program, several Masters (S2) students and participants from various universities and tourism entrepreneurs in Turkey.

The 5th ICEBFG 2023 international seminar was held on 17 February 2023 at Tryp by Wyndham Istanbul Topkapi Seyitnizam Mh. Mevlana Cd. No: 79 Topkapi/Istanbul Turkey and presenting keynote speaker Dr. Andala Rama Putra Barusman from the University of Bandar Lampung, Prof. Monica Violeta Achim from Babes Bolyai University, Romania and Assoc. Prof. Ilkut Elif Kandil Goker from Kirikkale Universitesi, Turkey.

Director of the UBL Postgraduate Program, Dr. Andala Rama Putra Barusman expressed the importance of international scientific conferences and field trips as one of the requirements that must be fulfilled by students of the Management Doctoral (S3) program and as an effort to provide experience and respond to the challenges of the rapid development of the times in a global context. “This activity provides the experience of exchanging information, discussing and sharing research results from friends from other countries as well as building networks and collaboration in the future, including for scientific publications, then joint research, student and lecture exchanges, and so on,” said Andala when interviewed in his office, Monday 27/02/2023.

Meanwhile, Bambang Sumbogo, a student in the Management Doctoral (S3) program who is also the Head of the Lampung Province Transportation Service, shared his experience. “I am very happy to be able to take part in this program, especially when attending international conferences abroad. We can share information about current global issues, as well as gain experience by observing the developments of other countries, especially Turkey,” concluded Bambang.

Apart from participating in international academic activities, all participants also had the opportunity to visit and study the management of several tourist attractions in Turkey such as Cappadocia, Hagia Sophia, Hierapolis Ancient City, Ataturk Mausoleum, Mevlana Museum, Bursa Grand Mosque and others.
